Inspired by 17th century “aigrette brooches”: The height of fashion for this era. Aigrette Brooches were one of the main accessories aside from ruffs & cuffs that were widely worn by those in power. Ultimately, they were highly valued for their ornamental qualities and symbolisms of wealth and power. The brooches would normally be worn by women on their hair, dresses, and straw hats.
