My name is Lisandra Hidalgo, and I am an educator passionate about studying fashion history through the lens of English literature. I enjoy exploring historical events, beliefs, and social expectations related to class, gender, and race through the works of authors who came before us. The fictional characters crafted by these authors often reflect the "popular" fashion of their time, shaped by the historical events of their eras.

In today’s world, everything we wear is rooted in the past, having been donned by billions of people who lived before us. My mission is to illuminate the social expectations of each century that have influenced the clothing and mindsets of today. I hope to inspire you to pick up a book, read, shop sustainably, and view others without judgment. Most importantly, I encourage you to wear what makes you happy—not what is deemed "in fashion" by today’s social standards—because true fashion never goes out of style.
