Inspired by the Pearl Age in Western Europe during the 15th and 16th century when the discovery of pearls in Central and South America became a high demand gem for royal women. Nobility women wore extravagant accessories of pearls to showcase their wealth and prestige but also as symbolism of their purity and virtue. In the 17th century specifically the pearl necklaces were throat skimming, round and baroque which inspired us to create a similar necklace that resembles this honorable era.
