"THE SCARLET LETTER" LOOK INSPIRED BY THE MAGNIFICENT NATHANIEL HAWTHORNE

Happy Halloween, everyone!!! Halloween is my favorite holiday because it gives us the freedom to be whoever we want for a day, without society's expectations! This blog post is all about fun—no "library break" here.

This year, I chose to dress as Hester Prynne, also known as "Easy A" for the modern crowd. Hester is famous for her long black dresses, as she was deemed "not sacred" enough to wear white. I opted for an all-black velvet dress with beautiful bell sleeves. To accessorize, I added a vintage beaded black belt around my waist, which can easily be worn with other dresses or even an oversized sweater and jeans. For footwear, I chose shiny short booties that are perfect for any occasion, especially during the fall.
